QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri A.Ş. (CBI) is owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. which is an established and rapidly growing mining and metals company. CBI is an underground mine and produces copper and zinc in Madenli, Çayeli in the Province of Rize. During the life of the operation, CBI has continuously looked for opportunities to enhance its reputation and performance through the application of leading international practice in all areas of its business. CBI is sensitive to the environment, respectful to the local people and one of the leading enterprises in terms of its technical infrastructure in the Turkish mining sector.
We are looking for our new ore for developing our powerful and dynamic labor force.
This position would be in charge of all accounts payable and general accounting processes including but not limited to;
- Acceptance and recording of all supplier invoices in accordance with related Purchase Orders (PO’s) or related approval procedures
- Follow up of all supplier invoices and PO’s
- Payment of supplier invoices and making other payments when required
- Performing current account reconciliations for Accounts Payable
- Calculating and issuance of return/price difference invoices and back charge invoices
- Performing all import accounting transactions, making the related accounting entries for the importations
- Performing all general accounting transactions and making the related accounting entries
The ideal candidate is required to have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accounting related fields
- Have work experience of minimum 3-4 years in accounting
- Preferably have experience in SAP applications
- Have proficiency in written and verbal communication in English
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- Highly motivated to learn and improve
- Male candidates must have completed their military services
