QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountant RtoR is responsible for providing business unit general accounting and internal control support in line with USGAAP, including preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, completion of the month end closing transactions/procedures and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for preparation and posting of journal entries

• Creation, distribution and maintenance of standard GL, FA, Intercompany Transaction reports to corporate and business units.

• Ensuring data integrity and preparing financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.

• Performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem feeds, making materiality decisions on closing entries and communicating to customers when the monthly trial balance is finalized.

• Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.

• Responsible for calculation deferred tax

• Reconciliation and consolidation of results into HFM (Reporting package)

• Handling internal and external audits

• Preferably knowledge on Oracle General Ledger

• Ensuring company Operational Excellence targets are achieved.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related fields.

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in accounting, finance.

• Accounting qualification is preferable or demonstration of experience working in an international manufacturing company

• Good understanding of financial controls and local GAAP. Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Standards and standard costing methods.

• Experience with Oracle and HFM or other ERP/Consolidation system. Not essential but experience with Business Objects

• Male candidates having completed their military service

• No travel restriction domestically and internationally. Must be willing to work diligently during peak work periods, e.g., budgets, ends of quarters, monthly, close periods, acquisitions, etc.

• Based in Istanbul, preferably in Asia side.

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent command of written and spoken English. Self-directed and confident. Must have the ability to work effectively with different cultures and business climates and to work remotely from the locations being serviced. Must be able to work well across reporting relationships, geographies and functions, in a matrix arrangement (across solid and dotted lines). Must have good computer skills especially on Microsoft office applications. Team player, entrepreneurial and ability to work on own direction. Ability to work under pressure ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
