1. Job description
The Aplication Specialist is responsible for his/her territory and instruments, sustainably increases the development of support and the customer retention and pursues new acquisitions within the BUCHI target markets chemistry, pharmaceutical and food and feed industry, environmental analysis as well as academia. He/she systematically strengthens the confidence of existing customers and increases the sales volume of the entire BUCHI portfolio. The Application Specialist is an important member of the new powerful BUCHI team in Turkey.
2. Main tasks
- Helping customers and local dealers for application support for our laboratory instruments
- Helping local dealers to choose correct configuration regarding customer needs
- Maintains and expands customer base by cooperating with other representatives; building and maintaining relations with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Customer trainings
- To follow up existing accounts
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Self-dependent customer- and project-oriented working
- Self-dependent work plan and scheduling
- Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
3. Subsidiary tasks
- Support of Innovation & Marketing at BUCHI at specific tasks
- Instrument demonstrations
- Feasibilty studies
- Support of other countries mostly by email and in case to travel (Dubia region and Eastern Europe)
- Performing instrument demonstrations
- Performing online webinars
- To follow up new trends on the market
4. Requirements
- University education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar
- The candidate preferably with an experience in the field of laboratory equipment applications.
- Declared sales personality with hands-on mentality.
- Good knowledge of the market segments analytics, laboratory equipment, food and feed and environmental.
- Successful consultation-intensive analytical instruments.
- Self-dependent and self-disciplined, well organized approach.
- Distinctive customer and application oriented thinking.
- Well developed communicational and negotiating skills, closure confidence.
- Motivated application personality.
- Competent appearance.
- Native Turkish and fluent in English
- High willingness to travel.
- Based in İstanbul or Ankara
- Identification with the BUCHI values and policy
