Job Overview
For IFF Food and Beverage team in Istanbul, we are seeking an experienced Bakery Application Technologist to support us in servicing our external and internal customers.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has worked activelyin bakery industry.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing mainly our local and regional customers,
- Responsible for the daily work in the bakery pilot plant and lab facilities including maintenance, stock-keeping and purchasing,
- Plan and conduct baking trials in agreement with the Application Specialists,
- Perform follow up evaluation/analysis, report writing in collaboration with the Application Specialists,
- Maintain and develop recipes and procedures relevant for the local market,
- Provide hands- on technical support and troubleshooting to the sales team and directly to our customers in collaboration with Application Specialists,
- Visiting customers in the region for joint trials,
- Training customers and colleagues in application and related processes,
- Cleaning and ensuring the pilot plant and lab are tidy and well kept,
- Contributing to maintaining a safe, efficient working environment,
- Continuously adding new capabilities and skills to the technical team.
Job Requirements:
- Trained baker and minimum 5 years working experience from the bakery industry or from industries supplying the bakery industry,
- Hands-on experience with various bakery applications and recipes is preferred,
- Structured working style – Accuracy is key – and accept the trial has not ended until the documentation is finished,
- Good command and working knowledge of spoken and written English,
- Commercial understanding,
- A positive attitude combined with curious and creative mindset,
- Self-driven,
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player and the ability to learn quickly,
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally,
- An ability to work well in a multicultural matrix environment, prioritize projects and multitask.
