QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Center of Energy Environment and Economy(CEEE/EÇEM) at Özyeğin University islooking fortwo influential, and passionate,detail- and future-oriented, self-motivated candidates to implement future high-profile research and developmentprograms.Successful candidates will support the new CEEE/EÇEM projects and their implementations in Turkey and elsewhere.
General Qualifications
- BSc, MSc or PhD degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, architecture or a similar discipline;
- Minimum 5+ years experience on technical and environmental performance analysis related to built environment and building energy systems;
- Experience in sustainable building design principles (experience in IES is a plus);
- Sufficient knowledge on energy efficiency measures, sustainability, decarbonization and environmental performance for buildings;
- Experience in carbon footprint calculations, life cycle analysis and life cycle cost analysis;
- Experience in any of the green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, EDGE);
- Experience in international projects;
- Experience in design and deployment of mechanical systems is a plus;
- Experience in Python programming language (specifically the Pandas Library) and data visualization tools is a plus;
- Experience in business intelligence solutions is a plus;
- Advanced writing, communication and presentation skills both in Turkish and English;
- Good command of MS Office-applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting literature and market research on building energy efficiency measures regarding the design and construction of future buildings;
- Conducting calculations and simulations regarding to optimization and decision-making processes
- Helping on the development of environmental, social and economic analysis for proposed solutions;
- Assisting on preparation of Life Cycle Analysis and building certification reports;
- Assisting on preparation and presentation of reports and workshops for advanced building projects;
- Facilitating strategic and sustainable building design discussions with stakeholders, clients and project teams.
