QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
- Experience in FEA
- Graduate degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field
- Very good command of English, German would be an assent
- Profound knowledge of Finite Element Method (FEM) and CAE tools (ABAQUS, ANSA, MEDINA, PERMAS…)
- Strong ability to cooperate and work in a team, ability to integrate, analytical thinking and target oriented working skills
- No military service obligation for male candidates
Job Description:
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with complete vehicle models as well as components and substructures toevaluate their stiffness, strength and durability
- Building up finite element models, interpretation and evaluation of the obtained results
- Optimization of parts/components based on the analysis results
- Close cooperation with design and testing departments, coordination of the required design changes, testing conditions, measurement points
- Cooperation with other global R&D centers of Daimler AG (Germany, Brazil, USA, Japan, India)
- Development and application of innovative simulation methods to improve the accuracy of the results
