Job Description
We are looking for a Category Expert, for our Indirect Purchasing team, will be working as a Buyer for Professional Services (Marketing Services)
Your contribution to something big:
- Implementation of regional material field strategy as directed by Category Manager.
- Ensure early involvement in assigned material fields & be first point of contact for internal customers and suppliers.
- Conduct RfQ process incl. sourcing decision (according to signature rules) and undertake negotiation. Conclude and manage contracts.
- Check and validate info. for relevant purchasing requisitions.
- Be responsible for KPI achievement for defined markets and material fields.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you:
- Business Studies to degree level or equivalent, or purchasing professional qualifications.
- Experienced in buying Professional Services (Marketing Services desirable) within a busy purchasing function, and used to working with multiple business units and internal business partners.
- Prepared and able to support all required activities, from early involvement with customer, to marketplace and supplier analysis, structuring and managing tenders, tender analysis, negotiation and contract award, ongoing supplier management and responding to customer queries.
- Applied knowledge of Advanced Negotiation Methods.
- User knowledge in Supplier Relationship Management and on-line Tender/Auction tools.
- Numerate, articulate and IT literate.
- Fluent in written and spoken English for business.
- Target driven and customer and quality focussed.
- Able to convey professionalism, persuasion, enthusiasm, flexibility and integrity
- Well-organised, strong communication skills, confident, tenacious, motivated & reliable with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
