JOB DESCRIPTION:

Eren Enerji supplies 7% of Turkey's total electricity production with its thermal power plants in Zonguldak with an investment budget of 2.8 billion dollars and an installed power of 2790 MW. Eren Enerji also owns Zonguldak Eren Port, which is one of Turkey's largest ports in the general cargo category with an annual capacity of 15 million tons. Eren Holding is the pioneer of the sector with its Modern Karton company, which is Turkey's largest corrugated cardboard paper producer with 1,000,000 tons per year in the paper group. Eren Holding continues its activities with Medcem Cement, the largest cement factory in Turkey and Europe with production in single line, which was commissioned in Mersin with an investment of 500 million dollars, producing with a single line.

Eren Enerji is looking for a "Contract and Planning Engineer" within the scope of the following job description regarding the energy, paper, port projects and other investments in which the Holding operates under the Contract and Planning Department.

  • In coordination with the relevant departments (Project Management, Finance, Operation, Insurance, Law and other units), the contracts are evaluated in technical, commercial, financial, accounting and legal aspects and the templates are arranged, executed and followed-up in accordance with the policies and standards of the corporation,
  • Preparation of tender files within the scope of procurement process, evaluation of offers, contract negotiations with suppliers, monitoring the entire process of the contract and ensuring coordination with the relevant units, reporting the developments, making cost-benefit and risk analyzes, providing necessary information about the problems and following the solution process
  • Follow-up of letters of guarantee, execution of legal and financial transactions,
  • Preparing the payments for the contracts made and the works subject to the purchase, creating the payment lists on a daily/weekly/monthly basis,
  • Keeping the suppliers' accounts regarding the payments and controlling the debt-credit balance,
  • Establishing long-term projections by planning expenditures, preparing monthly payment and investment follow-up reports on a regular basis, and determining a budget,
  • Conducting market research on new investments, carrying out feasibility studies, researching new technologies and developments, creating reports by communicating with relevant institutions at home and abroad,

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduated from engineering departments of universities
  • Very good command of spoken and written English
  • At least 2 years of experience in contract preparation and contract management
  • Preferably experienced in energy, port, paper, cement, construction sectors
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in EPC/EPCM contract standards
  • Preferably with IACCM or similar contract management certification
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Strong analytical abilities and quantitative thinking
  • Has data analysis capabilities for reporting
  • Prone to teamwork, strong verbal and written communication
  • Willing to develop projects and systems
  • No travel barriers, including domestic and international
