QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Carl Kühne is a Hamburg based German family-owned food company that began in 1722 as a small vinegar distillery that became a gourmet food and vinegar company in Europe today.
Our operations in Turkey have started 30 years ago that is currently a boutique organization of 60 employees with a head office in İstanbul and a plant in İzmir. We are locally producing vinegar, bottling different sauces, and serving products such as vinegars, pickles, gherkins, gourmet sauces, mustards, and salad dressings to consumers in Turkey.
We’re currently looking for a Controlling and Finance Executive to join our organization in İstanbul.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences (Business Administration, Economics), or relevant engineering fields (Industrial/Business)
- Minimum 4-5 years of professional experience: Audit background and/or controlling/budget-planning experience is preferred
- Good understanding of IFRS, financial statements; P&L, balance sheet, cash flow
- Proven track of financial & analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced in Excel and PowerPoint)
- Result focused with ability to work under strict deadlines. Customer oriented & team player
- Ability to perform in a small organization with ownership and can-do attitude
- Proficiency in English
Job Description
Controlling Activities:
- Managing and performing month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing monthly and year-end reporting packages to Carl Kühne HQ
- Coordinating monthly closing activities in collaboration with local accounting team, ensuring alignment of budgeting & reporting software with the accounting data in the local ERP system
- Preparation and coordination of yearly budget, monthly forecast updates in collaboration with internal stakeholders andCarl Kühne HQ
- Preparation of financial and business performance reports to local management (budget vs actual variances, cost & profitability analysis)
- Managing and coordinating external independent audit process of financial statements prepared in accordance with Turkish Standards (“BOBI FRS”) and yearly reporting package prepared in accordance with Carl Kühne KG Accounting Policies
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and supporting management team for strategic decisions
Financing Activities:
- Managing financing activities, ensuring relations with the commercial banks
- Coordinating bi-weekly customer reimbursement planning meetings with internal stakeholders
- Projecting cash flows, planning financing requirements
- Making credit arrangements in collaboration with the finance director
