QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications
- University degree Statistics, Mathematics, Econometry, Computer Sciences, Industrial Engineering or related fields, master degree is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of Data Scientist job experience
- Knowledge and experience in predictive analysis, machine learning, knowledge discovery in databases, optimization, statistical theory, experimentation or time series analysis
- Strong knowledge of applied statistics, probability, data modelling techniques, predictive modelling techniques and in-sample and out-of-sample model assessment
- Knowledge of programming languages in OpenSource like R or Python, SAS knowledge would be a distinctive advantage
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Quality-oriented, task-conscious
- Open to change and development
- Working in cooperation and compliance
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and top-notch negotiation skills
- Have strong business follow-up and control skills
- Able to reside in İzmir or İstanbul
- Prepare and manipulate structured and unstructured data for data discovery and mining from multiple disparate resources
- Build high-end analytic models to support decision makers with data driven insights that address business problems and objectives
- Create informative visualizations that display large amounts of data and complex relationships
- Translate data analytics into coherent reports and presentations for internal and external customer
- May have a specialty around machine learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, optimization or advanced statistics
- Routinely use anonymized or encrypted data
- Prototype solutions using varied resources, including SAS software and open source software
