Job description
During the 30 years from the day of its establishment, Iltekno has realized a number of innovative power generation and cogeneration/trigeneration applications in various sectors like hotels, hospitals, airports, universities, landfills, biogas plants, industrial facilities and IPPs. With its in-house engineering, design, procurement, installation and after-sales services, Iltekno offers turnkey solutions with the most appropriate configurations to meet the needs of its customers.
Now, İltekno is seeking for an Electrical Design Engineer! Electrical Design Engineer duties are managing conceptual project designs and the selected engineering firms in order to complete final detailed designs for projects to be built.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tender packages for electrical work, including specifications and preliminary drawings,
- Tendering and estimating of electrical works for projects prior to award,
- Compilation and Review of Operation and Maintenance Dossier for Projects,
- Ensuring the System Supervisor is provided with the current project drawings, specifications, approved technical submittals and all approved changes in scope,
- Evaluating technical submittals for specification and client requirement compliance,
- Working closely with design engineers to develop wiring, equipment layout drawings, and cable and raceway routing from one-line and schematic diagrams, as well as reviewing similar drawings developed by others to help ensure accuracy and error-free wiring,
- Converting elementary/schematic drawings into wiring diagrams,
- Developing good wiring practices (attention to detail is important especially with accounting for cable shield terminations, conductor colors and labels, cable labels, etc.)
- Willingness to learn cable tray and conduit routing and layout, including developing a working knowledge of cable tray design and materials, anchoring techniques and support and grounding requirements,
- Utilize applicable engineering national and local codes,
- Develops preliminary 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and design skills. Checks and navigates in the 3D models for interferences and constructability,
- Working directly with Engineering Team to interpret drawing markups for development or revision of the product,
- Modifying and revising drawings as necessary to correct deficiencies,
- Maintain master drawing set with current revisions for the electrical and controls design drawings,
- Understanding and following all organizational, area/departmental, and client procedures, safety policies, and directives,
- Design review to assure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Design raceway systems including underground ductbanks, cable tray and above ground conduit.
- Preliminary design lighting systems including interior, exterior and roadway lighting.
- Preliminary design grounding systems.
- Develop one-line and three-line diagrams.
- Develops sketches to accompany other concept documentation,
- Participates in project meetings,
- Completes miscellaneous tasks to support project development,
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree / Master’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering,
- Minimum of 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience in the Power and Industrial Industry.
- 2+ years of power plant design experience is preferred,
- Experience utilizing 3D programs such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant3D, or Navisworks and have knowledge of the latest computer operating systems,
- Must have a working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and PDF software,
- Working knowledge of drafting standards, design drawing preparation of general arrangements, sections, elevations, installation details, electrical wiring drawings and schematics,
- Familiarity with power and control wiring and raceway system concepts, design and installations,
- Working knowledge of building codes, manufacturers equipment drawings and material specifications,
- Must be able to understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and processes,
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills,
- Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others
- Flexibility to travel as required,
- Advanced level of English,
