QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description
Destek Engineering is looking for Environmental Engineers / Scientists, who have 0-5 years experience. All projects will be based in the United States of America (USA) and necessary training will be provided in Ankara by our environmental professionals.
The purpose of the position is to assist with the research and performance of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
Duties will include researching historical and regulatory records, contacting government agencies, and preparing reports using proprietary software.
Qualifications
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal. Please demonstrate your knowledge of English in your application with a cover letter or other writing samples.
- Only English Resumes will be accepted as all projects will be based in USA.
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
- Intermediate level computer software knowledge – Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat, (or equivalent software), proprietary software (training provided)
- Candidates with degrees from colleges where medium of education is English will be preferred.
- Work hours coinciding with 25% USA work-day hours.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regulatory research at federal, state and local environmental agencies within the United States
- Conduct historical research by reviewing maps, air photos, permit histories and other sources
- Assist with Project Managers with the preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Reports
- Prepare technical reports (Phase I Site Environmental Site Assessments, Transaction Screen Assessments, Vapor Encroachment Screening investigations, etc.).
