We are looking for a contract employee who will work as project-based Occupational Health and Safety Engineer in Gömeç Plant
Main Accountabilities
· Define, implement and monitor effective process of managing legal compliance and Bunge Environment and Safety management system requirements
· Translate/deploy Bunge Global & European Environment and Safety standards into effective and practical local processes, procedures and practices
· Support the journey of building Environment and Safety Culture, based on conducted safety culture assessments
· Assure effective process of reporting and investigating Environmental and Safety accidents/incidents, and process incidents, support investigations on good quality of RCA
· Conduct regular Environmental and Safety inspections/walk the talk and coaching local leaders on that skills and behaviour,
· Define and re-fresh the BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) process as necessary and assure its effective and it’s based on positive re-enforcement approach, and coaching local leaders on that skill,
· Organise and deliver Environmental and Safety Trainings as per training matrix,
· Follow up of GRC inspections (fire, boiler &machinery, infrared) and assure proper firefighting and Atex compliance and effective management of identified areas of improvements
· Follow up and participate on Process Safety approach and follow on EPSA audits,
· Support and follow up on Job Hazards Analysis process
· Participate in Safety Cross Audits (SIPs), and follow up on identified areas of improvements of SIP conducted in the site
· Develop and assure effectiveness of contractor management system, attend the auditing process,
· Support/justify CAPEX projects for Environment and Safety,
· Actively participate in Environment and Safety networking within Bunge organisation (calls, IBM connection, exchanging best practices on environment and safety, etc.)
· Perform effective reviews of actions follow up, including the one related to fatal accidents, LTA, PI, HPE, Environmental accidents/incidents and implement innovations and new Environment and Safety Initiatives, which can strengthen local Environment and Safety culture.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Key Competencies
· University degree from the related field of study preferably Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Food Engineering or Chemistry
· At least B class Safety Specialist certificate, knowledge about Environmental Legislations
· Experience in OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001, ISO 14001 will be a plus
· Experience in safety position in the production facility of international organisation (min 3 years)
· Knowledge about safety culture and modern safety
· Good command of both written and spoken English
· Able to travel when required
