QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Electric Vehicle (EV) Control Software Engineer in EE department you will be part of an engineering team that design, develop, enhance and validate electrified vehicles and their control systems. You will take role in developing control management algorithms and validating for projects based on electrical commercial light vehicles. You will also take role in implementing applications for vehicle control units to full electric or hybrid vehicles.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Analyzing and defining technical specifications systems and components that will be controlled,
  • Algorithm and function development for EV control systems,
  • Managing functional requirement at system and/or component level
  • Modeling application SW, simulation,
  • Test case development for MIL, PIL and/or HIL,
  • Validation of functions and systems at vehicle level,
  • Developing design and test plan that will cover regulations and standards,
  • Supporting customer and other teams for SW related issues.

Qualifications

  • BS or higher degree in Electrical and Electronics, Electronics, Mechatronics & Control Engineering,
  • 3+ experience in electrical vehicles, model based design & development or similar areas,
  • Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code level,
  • Experience in embedded coding on Matlab Simulink Environment,
  • Experience in development projects for hybrid and electric vehicles,
  • A team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a multi-discipline, multi-project environment,
  • Knowledge about at least two of the following topics:
  • Rapid controller prototyping embedded systems like dSPACE, Pi Innovo, Motohawk, etc.
  • Expertise in testing and analyze tools (Vector, Peak, etc.)
  • Experience in Stateflow, Simulink Test, Simulink Check is a plus.
  • Software versioning and source control
  • Knowledge of Netcom architecture
  • E-drive control and power electronics,
  • Hybrid electric vehicle requirements development,
  • Automotive electronics,
  • Preferably knowledge of Automotive Software and System Development Standards (CAN, Diagnostic, UDS, MISRA, etc.)
  • ISO26262 – Functional Safety
  • Self-motivation
  • Good communication skills,
  • Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English,
  • Ability to work in a team as well as autonomous,
  • Flexible for short trips abroad.
