We are looking for ‘Field Logistic Team Lead’for our client who is one of the leader players in international market operates in Agricultural Sector
Location: Adana
Role purpose
Leads trialing activities in Turkey and supports internal and external stakeholders of field crop. Execution of Field Trials within Turkey in line with own skills and capabilities. Contributes to management and follows up in field selection and validation as well.
Accountabilities
- Trial owner ensures a good choice of locations, farmers, and fields for the planned trialing networks. Positive interactions with growers. Handles contracting and accounting in connection to the locations.
- Responsible for the execution of field trials, from planning trials in SPIRIT to harvest, this includes planting trials and data manual data collections.
- Regularly visits fields, ensures the good quality of field preparation for planting, the chemical/mechanical weed, and chemical insecticide control in time. Diagnoses plant diseases and reports any other season-related phenotypic appearance (premature plant death, lodging, etc.)
- Correctly and safely handles and applies pesticides, chemicals.
- Responsible to prepare and distribute the trialing seeds (Corn, Sunflower and other crops is need.) on time
- Data management, use of SPIRIT (inventory management, trial creation, mapping, and upload data), MINT (management and trace of seed materials) and use the applicable tools for data capture and analysis (EZ Capture, Farmshot, Metroplot, AidhaOne, etc.)
- Coordinate of the trialing activity in Turkey
- Coordinates, supervises, trains temporary coworkers, keeps the HSE rules and regulations during the daily activities
- Maintains open and productive relationships with internal partners and external service providers such as farmers or CROs
- Actively engages in site operations, participates in common project tasks, meetings, documentation creation
- Ensures robust audit preparation and follow through if established
Critical Knowledge:
- Technical knowledge: agronomy, trialing, solid crop management knowledge
- Advanced English (written and spoken)
- Strong computer skills (Data systems and Microsoft Office user)
- Availability to travel inside the country for fields management and outside for training and meeting.
- Works effectively in small or large groups by contributing ideas and feedback, strong team player
- Quickly learns and adopts new technologies.
- Experience in tools and solutions needed for trial implementation and data collection, data management
