A Finance Clerk will maintain effective controls over the reporting of Income Audit, Cashiering and Payroll functions in accordance with objectives set by the Director of Finance and in line with the highest standards of the Company.

What will I be doing?

As Finance Clerk, you will maintain effective controls over the reporting of Income Audit, Cashiering and Payroll functions in accordance with objectives set by the Director of Finance and in line with the highest standards of Hilton. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analyse the Operational Costs.
  • Assist the DOF in budgeting and forecasting of annual profit, capital, cash and other short-term plans.
  • Prepare budget and maintain controls on spending to ensure budgetary limits are met.
  • Prepare Annual Depreciation schedules for furniture, equipment, building supplies, revisions and alterations.
  • Produce internal financial reports in an accurate and timely manner for the daily work of the Management Team.
  • Reconcile and check all accounts before end of month closing.
  • All of these procedures and documents are required to be on an accounting record file and to be stored on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that accurate bookkeeping is in place and that revenue and cost are booked in the correct time period.
  • Ensure that accruals and provisions are booked accordingly and calculated from time to time if the amount is still correct.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all department processes to the various accounts
  • Supervise processes and people to ensure that all payment deadlines are met
  • Manage of all account queries and disputes
  • Balance accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Develop of the Finance Team and other roles that may interact with financial processes to help provide the hotel with a multi-skilled Team
  • Build accurate financial reports and identify clearly any discrepancies
  • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required
  • Execute on tasks/requests as instructed by DOF.
