Finance Co-ordinator, Istanbul
Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for completing financial accounting activities for the sub-region to support the production of accurate and timely financial results in compliance with IFRS and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including compliance with Brambles policy and procedures.
Major/Key Accountabilities:
Record to Report
· The role will be required to perform the end-to-end Record to Report/ Financial Accounting processes, including the monthly close process.
· Performs a range of assigned month end close processes including preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of journals to support the month end process
· Application of accounting standards and practices in accordance with accounting standards, policy and local country requirements.
· Ensure balance sheet items for assigned accounts are followed up and resolved in a timely basis
· Statutory Reporting: preparation data to support the preparation of Brambles and local in country statutory accounts for the countries within the region.
· Policy & Compliance: supports the implementation of group policies and procedures as directed.
· Transformation & Standardization: Supports the standardization (by implementation) of accounting processes to drive global standard.
· Follow day to day accounting activities, processes and controls vendor and customer invoices according to cost centers.
· Manage and follow e-invoice, e-archive, e-ledger process.
· Follow up bank accounts, vendor payments.
Other
· Assist with the review and submission of monthly, bi-annual and annual reporting based on Group requirements, including ad-hoc requests and queries.
· Input into the annual budget process
· Assisting with the year-end external audit
· Assisting with Group or local internal audits, and contribute to improvements in business processes and internal control
· Providing support to Management on ad hoc projects

· Navigating the complexity of working in a matrix structure.

Qualifications:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant finance technical discipline
Experience:
· Previous experience in working with a global finance team associated with geographically diverse businesses
Skills and Knowledge:
· Refer the Technical and Behavioral Function Profile for detailed requirements, however key aspects include:
· Awareness of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
· Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in English and Turkish
· Solid understanding of multi-currency finance environments
· SAP knowledge
