QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Being an international contractor with diversified interests and operations spread to 4 continents and 11 countries since 1989, Summa is looking for Financial Controller to be employed at its affliate Senegal Radisson Blu Hotel.
Requirements
- College education or equivalent experience. Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years in an accounting management position
- 2+ years as Assistant Financial Controller,
- French is mandatory,
- English – excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment,
- Ability to handle high volume with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with hotel staff and clients/vendors
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Applies a professional, confidential, and ethical approach at all times
Job Description
- Contributes to the optimization of operating margins
- Guarantees the reliability of all management elements
- Assisting in collecting information for the month end reporting to the General Management and the owner
- Follows all applicable laws relating to general accounting practices and tax regulations according to Senegal
- Complies fully with the set financial reporting deadlines and guidelines ‘’ Financial Department Agenda’’
- Advises the Hotel Manager / General Manager on financial management and operating problems
- Assists in controlling of cost control in carrying out their missions
- Support the accounting team, and make sure to create a good working atmosphere
- Ensures compliance with labour legislation in his/her department
- Derives monthly profits and losses reports by departments
- Controls the Minimum and Maximum storage stock levels, informs the Assistant Cost Controller about the limit exceeding
- Directs and manages the purchasing and storeroom functions with its employees
- Ensures with the Financial Controller the link with the correct chart of accounts and the quality of their rendering
