Who you are

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics or related fields from reputable universities, MBA degree is a plus
  • Min 2-4 years of related experience in multinational companies preferably in pharmaceutical sector Or in big 4 Audit firms
  • Knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP ,TFRS and Uniform Chart of Accounts knowledge
  • SMMM certification is an asset
  • Good knowledge of entity consolidation and eliminations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to take initiative, guide and influence others toward goal achievement
  • Good presentation skills
  • Very good spoken and written English
  • Strong interpersonal, written, communication problem solving skills and follow-up actions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, corporate software)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • The ability to develop in-depth knowledge about products and markets good business sense and a professional manner

The Job Summary
This role is responsible for creating and booking journals / making manual adjustments and performing all relevant activities necessary related to the monthly close process to convert local tax and statutory books in line with US-GAAP, TFRS and in line with company policy in a timely, accurate and well documented manner.
Overall the role performs her/his duties in line with company policies and procedures and regulations and Baxter ethics and compliance standards

The Job

The job as Financial Reporting Specialist at Baxter is a great opportunity to develop your professional career in our Finance area. You will be responsible for;

  • Perform all activities necessary for month end, quarter end and year end close and all other Financial Reporting related processes in line with USGAAP and TFRS requirements and creating adequate supporting documentation applying internal controls standards, USGAAP corporate rules ensuring timely completion of all related tasks in an accurate manner.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvements in line with Baxter internal control and accounting policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that changes in accounting and reporting guidelines are adequately reflected ın Baxter financial and TFRS statements
  • Liaises with statutory accounting to understand statutory inputs for Financial Reporting
  • Provides ad hoc reports in line with guidance from her/his manager for USGAAP, Tax and compliance related reporting tasks in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and collects data e.g. for balance sheet or quarterly AR reviews to support management reporting and decision making of senior management
  • Thrives in an environment where foundational processes need to be created and continuously seeks ways to improve operations Solution oriented high energy and diligent self-starter
  • Supports Tranfer Pricing Report & Independent Audit process , working with concultancy firm
  • Supports the Financial planning team as needed during planning process
  • Supports external and internal audit processes (Financial and Internal Control)
  • Works on projects as needed in line with her/his area of expertise
  • Performs other duties assigned by her/his manager on an as needed basis
  • Performs additional assignments and responsibilities based on company policies

Finally you will report to the Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager.
