QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the products of Virtual i Technologies with an amazing team.

Virtual i Technologies is a Zürich-based insurtech company founded in 2018 that offers the first scientific risk scoring platform in the world -the proprietary Virtual Risk Space™- as a B2B-aimed, fast and affordable piece of technology. Virtual i lets the insurance industry see the risks. We believe each risk should be seen and assessed before it is insured.

Virtual i Technologies has been globally awarded in many prestigious insurtech competitions. Selected as a finalist for the Winter 2021 cohort of the prestigious program "Multicultural Innovation Lab" by Morgan Stanley. Virtual i has also been selected in NYC Top 20 Seed/Series A companies raising right now and won the prestigious DXC Insurtech award for 2021. Also, Virtual i Technologies is the winner of the ACORD InsurTech Innovation Challenge 2020 London.

In Virtual i, we have a diverse and geographically distributed team. We are working remotely -since the beginning- for the last 3 years.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of technology experience in the development and implementation of software solutions in highly scalable environments
• Good knowledge of Javascript, Node js, Vue js/React js, HTML5, CSS3
• Experienced in SQL, T-SQL and Postgres
• Advanced understanding of RESTful web services
• Experience in using Git and CI/CD best practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiar with unit testing frameworks
• Familiar with IT security best practices
• Familiar with the Google Cloud Platform
• Fluent English
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
