The General Accounting Manager is an analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate member of the finance team. They play a key role on the Finance team to support letgo’s growing local and international business by performing a spectrum of accounting processes and procedures. The General Accounting Manager is based in the Istanbul office.
Your challenge:
- To perform accounting in accordance with Turkish Statutory Regulations, IFRS, Local GAAP requirements within a subject area,
- To improve the reporting of manufacturing costs and performance at all stages of the manufacturing process, from raw materials to the final product,
- To manage the day-to-day accounting functions through well-reconcile general ledger, sub-ledgers (AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory) and bank reconciliations,
- To evaluate the organization’s current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations,
- To ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time,
- To prepare reports requested by government bodies and financial adviser, carries out necessary correspondence and applications,
- To work with company CPA to ensure timeliness and accuracy of all accounting aspects according to local accounting standards,
- To lead to the Taxation and Accounting Projects
You’ll need to get there:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 10 years experience in Accounting, with 3 years in management position
- Good command of General Accounting and Cost Accounting
- Knowledge on legal statutes, uniform accounting plan
- Strong planning, follow up and reporting skills, capable of analytical thinking
- Having good organization and communication skills, capable of teamwork
- Advanced level of English and SMMM (Certified Public Accountant) certificate
- SAP knowledge and expert in Ms Office
