QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Executes the follow-up activities of the POs. Manages relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
- Manages problems and schedule changes. Keeps ERP updated with most recent and accurate forecast
- Ensures smooth supplier payment activities
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding
- Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
- Lead discussions with suppliers during execution in case of claims, PO changes in coordination with the Project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or in a similar discipline from a reputable university
- Have max. 2 to 3 years fundemental knowledge and experience in Sourcing activities especially supplier & PO follow up in technical commodities
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and flexible
- Solid transactional skills
- Fluent English
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or in a similar discipline from a reputable university
- French or German Language is an adder
- Experience in the Energy industry / Hydropower projects is a strong plus
- SAP based ERP Systems knowledge
- Ability and ownership to drive improvements and change with tangible results
- Aptitude to work in a global environment and matrix organization
