GENEL NİTELİKLER

Job Description

  • To responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing catering only businesses on behalf of Mandarin Oriental Istanbul in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • To manage activities related to the sales functions with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives.
  • To focus on the growth and continued production of existing accounts both domestic and international and to develop new accounts that are suitable for the pricing strategy of the property.
  • Handling inquiries, preparing contracts, conducting site inspections, arranging menu tastings and leading coordination meetings.
  • Responsible for creating and updating accounts, contact profiles and bookings in the Infor / Delphi Sales & Catering system.
  • To ensure Banquet Event Order and Group Resume Sheet details are finalized and distributed to all departments concerned.
  • To generate reports when requested and within the specified period.
  • Converting enquiries into sales and effectively planning Groups with the help of pro-active approach and excellent organizational skills.
  • Attending and participating in sales and business development meetings as required.
  • To remain updated on catering menus, set-ups, services, capacities, and product knowledge within hotel as well as the specific hotel’s competitive set.
  • To monitor sales activities of market competitors and report at sales meetings.
  • On weekly basis, preparing an activity report which will cover sales call reports, site inspections, fam trips, new agencies, meetings, entertainment and other functions they participated in during the week and presents to Director of Sales, Groups & Banquets
  • On weekly basis, preparing deposit report and presents to Director of Sales, Groups & Banquets
