QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Dunia Technique is looking for an HSE Manager who will be employed at industrial facility Project which is located in Basra, Iraq.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest HSES performance standards by providing clear leadership.
- Building HSES management system and provides HSES leadership support to all levels of the project and across all functional groups to ensure compliance.
- Driving continues improvement in HSES performance, systems, policies, procedures, and culture.
- Tracking the project’s HSES metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risk.
- Managing and monitoring sub-contractors and service companies’ HSES performance.
- Ensuring continuous HSES performance improvement through regular reviews, inspections, and audits and procedure, and policy updates.
- Leading all aspects of incident investigation including verifying root cause, approving, and monitoring the implementation of preventative actions.
- Ensuring all Local permits in current and valid condition.
- Ensuring regulatory agency submissions including but not limited to OSHA Logs/reports.
- Maintaining current working knowledge of all applicable HSES regulations and ensures revisions are made to plans/procedures to comply with new requirements.
- Developing and leading HSES training strategy for all HSES matters.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Construction, Health and Safety and/or Environmental Sciences,
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of general work experience and not less than 5 years in HSE management for the projects within oil and gas industry,
- Significant experience in Health, Safety, Environmental and Social Management in accordance with international standards.
- Certification on HSE is also preferred from a recognized institution.
- Good knowledge on ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement management is required.
- Leadership experience.
- Ability to influence, inspire confidence and build trust at all levels internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to apply an integrated approach to health, safety, environmental and social risk management.
- Proven ability to develop to manage complex matters in a transparent and inclusive fashion.
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
- Strong MS Office skills.
