QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Gram Equipment is the leading supplier to the global ice cream industry. We focus on combining our know-how with the newest developments in automation, design, and machinery. We care about our people and we are looking for an experienced, hands-on, caring Health Safety and Environment Specialist for our growing organization which is in Free zone Izmir, Turkey.
We care about our resources, carbon footprint and protecting environment. As HSE Specialist, you work in close alliances with all levels of organization to achieve HSE awareness. You act as a change agent, ambassador to prevent all potential risks for all parties within the organization. In this role you will report to HR Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environmental Engineering
- Legally required Health, Safety and Environment Certification (B class)
- Minimum of 4 years of HSE Specialist experience in Industrial Environment
- Good knowledge of risk analyses, problem solving techniques
- Good understanding of quality standards, health & safety regulations
- Coordination and prioritization abilities for both HSE and facility maintenance activities
- Self-driven, assertive, and process-oriented,
- Good communicator able to garner understanding across all levels in the organization
- Fluent in English

Job Description
- Manage HSE issues and improvement plans, deploy HSE standards
- Responsible for increasing HSE awareness within the organization. Global cooperation on HSE strategies and implementation
- Follow up the relevant legislation, laws, and regulations within the scope of EHS and Environment to create action plans together with the team and to ensure that the necessary actions are taken with all relevant departments
- Driving changes in the field of operations including Health, safety, and Environment
- Identify the hazards and implement the risk assessment processes and the appropriate control measures to reduce these risks.
- Create effective emergency response plan, train workforce and coordinate test plans on a defined frequency and validate emergency action plan.
- Establish, implement, and maintain EHS Management System based on ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 requirements, review global and local EHS documents.
- Promote and assist all organization in the development and application of the group Health policy relevant to protection of all employees
- Establish prevention programs to avoid work related accidents and occupational illnesses, and related costs.
- Undertaking audits, assessments, and inspections
- Manage the documentation of health, safety, environment, and energy management system
- Management and execution of waste disposal process, removal and recycle.
- Coordination of facility maintenance activities.
