We seek for a “Continuous Improvement Manager” in Hub APMEA for our Transformers business. This position is to be based either in Turkey. You will be reporting to Hub APMEA’s QHSE&CI manager.

Your background

  • University degree: Bachelor in Engineering/Master of Science/MBA equivalent.
  • Background in automotive, industrial equipment and hi-tech parts manufacturing environment.
  • Having proven record in facilitating, leading kaizens and major improvement projects,
  • Fully competent in operations, lean tools (Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving, Std Work, Strategy deployment, Material Processes, 5S/Waste Observation, Daily Mgt, SMED, etc).
  • Being certified practitioner (MBB in lean tools, L6S, Train-The-Trainer etc).
  • Being able to deploy lean tools (train, coach, facilitate kaizens) independently.
  • Having experience in regional work and being adaptable to global structures.
  • Understanding different cultures, having approach & ability to guide, coach and mentor others.
  • Being fluent in written and spoken English matched with excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Being disciplined, systematic with passion for lean. High personal integrity
  • Having strong “results oriented, people centered, do what it takes, never give up” mindset.
  • Completed military service for male applicants (if applicable).

Your responsibilities

  • Being accountable for ITM* deployment to all factories in the Hub.
  • Leading systematic implementation of lean tools in factories to drive core metrics on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost.
  • Ensuring sustainability of lean deployment.
  • Representing and contributing to the development of ITM in the BL as core team member or subject matter expert in preparing/upgrading ITM training materials and best practices.
  • Ensuring essentials of ITM is deployed at all factories and well sustained.
  • Facilitating, teaching and coaching the kaizen teams (ITM tools) from preparation to execution and sustainment to bring changes and improvement to operations.
  • Regular reporting to the Hub & Business Line on ITM deployment progress.
  • Analyzing SQDIC KPIs (eg, OPQs) to seek continuous improvement potential and working with the factories to deliver these improvements via ITM and process improvements (in conjunction with Hub Q managers and Hub operations, factory managers).
  • Regular reviewing (with Hub operation managers) with the factories to continuously assessing and guiding the teams.
  • Training CI managers and prodding managers in factories to be competent kaizen leaders.
  • Building core team of subject matter experts in the Hub to support and accelerate lean journey and operational improvements in the hub.
