QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Customer Service

Position: Import Documentation& D/O Responsible


IMPORT DOCUMENTATION & D/O

Assisting the Customer Service Department “import documentation and delivery order team” in daily, monthly, and annual activities and to ensure efficient, timely and accurate postings of duties in his/her control.


Job Description:

  • Handle import shipments to İzmir/Aliağa ports.
  • Inform POL agents if/when there is a discrepancy on documents and follow up
  • Send manifests and customs registration files to vessel operators
  • Follow up customs registrations from freight forwarders.
  • Submit arrival notification to customs authorities and prepare documents for Customs. authorities /related parties.
  • Send A/N to customers.
  • Prepare & Release Delivery Orders.
  • Issue Invoices and check unbilled reports.
  • Follow up uncleared/overdue cargoes and sending notices to customers and POL agents.
  • Follow up nationalization process of overdue cargoes with POL/local Customs.
  • Prepare vessel file and make archive


General Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime business, logistics, international trade, etc.
  • Knowledge of maritime industry.
  • Good command of MS Office and Excel skills.
  • No experience needed; previous experience will be considered as a plus.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Having excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and creativity.
  • Ability to work independently and show a strong customer-oriented focus.
