Gizil Instrumentation & Control Department is looking for an Instrumentation & Control Engineer.
Professional Qualifications
- BS degree in electrical and electronic engineering (an engineering related postgraduate degree will be considered as a valuable plus),
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in instrument design engineering gained in an engineering office performing services for industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, oil & gas and energy,
- Basic knowledge and experience with design, specification, and selection of instruments,
- Knowledge on communication protocols, fire alarm, gas detection and security systems,
- “Good” level of reading and writing and verbal communication skills in English,
- Free to travel in-country and abroad,
- For male candidates completed military service,
Preferred Qualifications
- Capable of working with DCS, PLC and SCADA systems,
- Experience in Autocad and Aveva Instrument or Hexagon SPI,
- Possession of class “B” driver’s license,
Job Description
The selected candidate will be working in an engineering and design office covering all basic engineering disciplines and performing integrated plant engineering design activities and she/he will be expected to perform the following duties in coordination with other disciplines:
- Design and/or specify instrument in accordance with contract requirements, applicable codes and standards, P&IDs, equipment and material specifications, and requirements of other engineering disciplines,
- Calculate, design and produce drawings for instruments,
- Prepare engineering & design specifications and data sheets,
- Prepare purchasing specifications and material requisitions,
- Communicate with vendors and evaluate their bids,
- Coordinate with vendors after purchase order placement, perform engineering reviews of vendor documentation, coordinate with other disciplines for the timely and correct implementation of vendors’ design inputs,
- Supervision of erection works and as-built studies at construction sites on a part-time basis.
