QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identifying workforce knowledge gaps in specific safe work practices and generating high quality data that can be used to identify risks and opportunities to improve workplace safety,
- Familiar with various operations throughout the oil and gas industry, such as drilling, fracking, cementing and coiled tubing operations, wireline, etc.,
- Familiar with ISO, OSHAS and other relevant industry standards and management systems,
- Lead and participate in HAZIDs and risk assessments for various operation,
- Collect daily reports from site safety officers and review,
- Assist with collection, recording and analysis of accident or near miss data to determine the causes of an incident,
- Periodically asses emergency and safe work preparedness through inspection of fire-fighting rescue, life-saving, spill remediation, personal protective equipment, fall protection, etc. ,
- Generate and submit weekly reports to Field Managers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Related Fields (preferably in Petroleum Engineering),
- Class B safety specialist certification,
- Ability of working in a multi-cultural environment,
- Good command of English,
- Competent in using MS Office applications,
- Good knowledge in workplace, process safety and environmental protection,
- Good organizational and interpersonal relation skills.
