We are looking for a “Air Freight (Logistics) Operation Specialist” for our client about global firm with the following skills and the qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 1-4 years of customer service, international logistics and air freight forwarding experience

• Bachelor degree in Business Management, Foreign Trade and Logistiscsor related field

• Working knowledge of IATA rules and regulation

• Working knowledge of customs procedures and regulations in local and global area.

• Proven track-record in developing and leading high performance customer service teams

• Fluent spoken and written English; Local language- according to need

• Establish procedures and instructions

• Handling of individual quotes / rate requests

• Assessment of directly subordinated staff

• Multitask

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

• Problem solving skills and ability to handle crises and respond to customer or subcontractors/partners on time

• Ability to operate effectively in fast moving environment

• IT skills- proficient use of personal computer and its applications (Microsoft Office,)


Job Descprition


• Ensure efficient, motivated and customer-oriented customer services according to the Global Services standards, processes and procedures

• Handle service requests and maintain relationships with customers and overseas affiliates

• Supervise all BITS (International Transportation System- internal system) driven processes such as pricing, costing and billing as well as shipment flow and creating airwaybills

• Ensure pro-active communication internally and externally when dealing with operations and customers issues

• Liaise with handling agents, customs and airport authorities as required

• Coordinate trucking and handling issues

• Coordinate the overall resources of the department and work with customs brokers when necessary to ensure proper customs clearance and release for all gateway operations. Meet all customs requirements in document generation and cargo handling

• Application of company and/or legal procedures (Shipping, Dataflow, AML, VAT, Customs etc.)

• Establish regular operational reporting

• Apply company guidelines and goals in respect to working conditions, atmosphere and performance of directly subordinated staff

• Manage and control customer service in respect to customer contacts, documentation, pricing, billing, forwarding and communications (internally and externally)

• Work out service and operational procedures for new destinations, special moves etc.

• Coordinate day to day pricing and quoting with sales managers

• Coordinate jobs with affiliates, subcontractors and customers

• Establish and maintain relationships with major airlines

• Resolve key customer administrative inquiries and complaints

• Develop and grow customer base and services in close cooperation with Sales Manager and Operations Manager

• Assist with credit control and collection of receivables

• Collect market and customer data and be alert for information about competition that might be of value to the Sales Manager.

• Support other departments with their operational knowledge

• Complete timely and accurate reporting as per specific instructions
