QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
LYCIA tech designs and develops reliable and robust software using the latest emerging technologies. Our teams of project managers, business analysts, software architects, designers, software engineers, and administrators are dedicated to providing quality software and solving difficult problems in a broad range of IT areas.
Required skills and experience:
- Install, configure and maintain MySQL and similar servers (like MariaDB, Percona, etc)
- Monitor availability and performance of production databases and servers, experience work with MySQL Enterprise High Availability
- Daily database maintenance, user assistance, and troubleshooting
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, including performance tuning, application design, and debugging
- Conduct/support OS and hardware maintenance in coordination with the system group
- Participate and perform migrations into Development/Production environments
- Monitor database backups and maintain recovery procedures
- Administer and follow MySQL Server and other security standards
- Plan database and server level capacity according to statistics and user requests
- Work through disaster recovery plans with other groups and departments
- Create and configure new accounts, databases, and other server objects
- Communicate/work effectively in a team environment
- A self-learner who likes to stay on top of technology
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, and multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
