QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
This role responsibilities include providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, lean manufacturing and methods, tooling, and equipment. Initiates new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality. You will partner with organizational leadership to drive product and process improvements that deliver lead time reductions and maximize free cash flow while working directly with the manufacturing cells.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute Lean Manufacturing initiatives including set-up reduction, workplace organization, standardized work, process/workflow improvements, and visual management and inventory reduction
- Create and improve Value Stream Maps to identify opportunities for production/process enhancement to achieve organizational goals
- Work with production associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and product design
- Lead improvement efforts for equipment reliability, process controls and ergonomic solutions
- Own execution of capital investments delivering desired outcomes on schedule & within budget, develop new solutions and drive quantifiable ROI
- Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality
- Ensuring manufacturing process compliance through validation and verification
- Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations
- Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed production related issues as well as safety concerns in all areas
Required Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Min 5 years’ experience of lean manufacturing principles is MUST
- Good analytical, problem solving and planning skills
- Experience of managing projects and work independently in fast-paced environment
