Scope

The overall scope of the Public Relations and Marketing Executive is to assist the Director and Manager of Public Relations and Marketing to position, promote and enhance awareness of Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul hotel as the market leader in its location and Kempinski as one of the world’s finest hotel groups.

The only Ottoman Imperial Palace and Hotel on the Bosphorus that once hosted Sultans, Çırağan Palace has a heritage that dates back to the 17th century. The building had different formations including a waterside summer villa and a marble palace. After a complete restoration and with the addition of a modern hotel building including elegant rooms, restaurants and meeting venues, the Hotel and Palace opened in 1991 as an accommodation and event venue managed by Kempinski, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group. Overall Objectives

The job of Public Relations and Marketing Executive is executed satisfactorily when:

  • Public Relations and Marketing functions are planned, coordinated, and implemented.
  • Day-to-day activities of the Public Relations and Marketing office are running smoothly, with the directive of the Director and Manager of Public Relations and Marketing.
  • A smooth daily workflow within the department is ensured.
  • Compliance with Corporate Identity guidelines is ensured.
  • Brand protection is ensured, and the day-to-day activities are correctly completed.

Main Responsibilities

The job of Public Relations and Marketing Executive includes:

  • Provide administrative/secretarial support for public relations & marketing office.
  • Handle daily correspondence/financial documents such as purchase order, expenses   claims, etc.
  • Handle phone calls.
  • Coordinate and arrange appointment and schedule.
  • Maintain filing system.
  • Maintain archive system.
  • Handle all agencies/vendors invoices and act as contact point for billing matters.
  • Maintain all internal communications channel updated, my.kempinski.com etc.
  • Play support role in developing hotel Public Relations and Marketing budget by updating budget figure periodically.
  • Maintain a) accurate press list; b) targeted press release distribution: c) on-going review of media needs/initiation of newsworthy stories.
  • Ensure all press releases are up-to-date, accurate and accessible by media on the website.
  • Answer surveys and inquiries from media.
  • Assist and help coordinate Public Relations and Marketing projects, including but not limited to:
      • Sponsorship
      • Award events
      • Press conferences and PR events
  • Create and implement all Marketing activities, including but not limited to:
      • Creation and print/digital of collateral
      • Promotions and packages
      • Advertising
      • Market analysis
      • Coordinate and maintain photo-shootings & video-shootings
  • Maintain updates of the Public Relations and Marketing and crisis management manuals.
  • Maintain hotel listings in online and offline media.
  • Handle site inspection.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement direct marketing, both on- and offline.
  • Maintain guest database for mailings.
  • Liaise with F&B department to promote F&B outlets.
  • Liaise with other related departments to answer the needs of communication and promotion
  • Monitor the usage and find ways to maximize the usage of Mind Your Language (online editing service) to make sure delivering the most accurate messages both internally and externally.
  • Keep the information under Public Relations and Marketing sections on the internet and my.kempinski.com accurate.
  • Manage and monitor news coverage and collate press clippings from assigned territories to ensure that publicity and significant, relevant news is shared appropriately internally.
  • Social media management. Monitor fans’ comments on social media and alert Public Relations and Marketing team to posts that require a response. Manage social media ads and report to the manager and director.
      • Social media content creating and planning 
      • Social media moderation management including direct messages, comments, FB review, tweets and etc.
      • Social Media AD Management, content creating in line with the marketing & PR communication plan
      • Social media competition check analysis and reporting
      • Daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly social media reporting and analyzing
      • Digital email marketing management including Euromessage and Kent newsletters
      • Creating creative IG stories / Reels
      • SM Budget management inducing AD
      • Manage Social Media Monitoring Agency
      • Manage crisis on social media
      • Create convenient contents
      • Manage and follow corporate based social media directions and needs
      • Create creative digital contents and manage photo and video shootings for social media on a regular base
      • Work with Ecommerce and support our official website for special contents
      • Micro moment / special dates moderation and content creation
      • Having a great level of knowledge for Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager and Google Analytics
      • Havin knowledge for Adobe Premiere Pro / Adobe After Effects / Photoshop / Adobe Animate programs
      • Content writing skills in Turkish and English
  • Collate and compile the monthly Public Relations and Marketing reports and submit in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Picture Park for image uploading on image library.
  • Compile bi-monthly news round-up and best quotes.
  • Assist in the creation of the media and marketing plan.
  • Conduct competition checks and benchmarking on a regular basis and create reports.
  • Create office presentations.
  • Create, coordinate and maintain give-aways and collateral.
  • Upload and maintain picture storage and distribution systems (Picture Park & VFMLeonardo).
  • Provide content and images for websites according to Corporate Identity.
  • Ensure content and photography of 3rd party websites is maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Identity guidelines.
  • Maintain updates of corporate marketing guidelines and inform colleagues.
  • Attend marketing relevant meetings.
  • Play support role in developing hotel Marketing budget and update budget figures periodically.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, especially sales, Public Relations and web as well as creative agencies and suppliers.
  • Keep themselves updated with the latest developments in the hotel including all activities, promotions, rates of the hotel.

  • Turkish nationality
  • Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or Marketing
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a five star hotel
  • Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Turkish and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach at all times
  • Works in a safe, prudent and organized manner
