QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Franklin Electric, one of the leading manufacturers of international water and fueling systems, is looking for a Materials Leader. The position will be based at Impo Motor Pompa San. Tic. A.S. Izmir site, which is the leader of Turkish submersible pump industry.
Required qualifications for 'Materials Leader' position are as follows;
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, administration, materials management, logistics, supply chain or any associated field of study,
- Fluency in English (spoken and written),
- Strong communication and negotiation skills,
- Ability to network and deal with vendors and suppliers,
- Necessary technical knowledge to understand material requirements,
- Strong leadership abilities,
- Analytical skills and the ability to skillfully plan and organize functions,
- Supervising and delegating work to subordinates and ability to evaluate their performance,
- Minimum 3 years experience in material procurements,
- For male candidates, military service must be completed.
Job Description
- Planning, managing, and coordinating all activities related to the procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
- Leading the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed KPIs,
- Conducting market survey and analysis of material cost and availability,
- Planning and making budget for procuring materials,
- Conducting Supplier visits, coordinating and negotiating with vendors for procurement agreements and inventory management programs,
- Supervising the shipping and receiving of all materials,
- Developing procurement plans, assessing transportation, and carting of materials,
- Conducting frame contracts with the suppliers,
- Maintaining the standard and quality of goods and materials,
- Monthly reporting to Vendor Improvement Projects to the Global VIP Manager.
- Implement and execute FE global procurement policy in Izmir.
- Following CAPEX purchasing process,
- Correspondence on problems with international suppliers.
