Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Our Commissioning Engineers are a vital position within our Marine and Energy projects This role handles mechanical commissioning responsibility on 4-Stroke (4S) Engines and auxiliary system installations, settings, functions, tests, trials and hand-process in shipyards and power plants in both our global and domestic customer locations.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
· Pre-commissioning and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment including our latest automation technologies and requiring mechanical competence for all installations, especially marine installations.
· Perform troubleshooting activity to identify possible failure modes, attending (sea) trial runs and testing of installations according to instructions and expected performance requirements.
· Perform installation audits at various land and sea-based installations
· Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
· Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
· Prepare Service work reports and travel expenses on time and with expected Wärtsilä quality
· Participate with a continuous improvement focus on new products when performing warranty activities
· Promote Wärtsilä products and services.
· Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers.
· Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
We required a customer service focused mindset with the flexibility to work away from the home location with strong attention to procedures, work instructions and company processes.
As a Commissioning Engineer you will be required to travel with the role extensively for which you would receive additional compensation based on daily domestic or daily international additional payments.
