QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

- Candidates will take part in approved KOSGEB and TUBITAK projects. Within the scope of the projects, academic consultancy is received from the Middle East Technical University.

Responsibilities
- Design and Develop entity extraction models both using machine learning or rule-based approaches for document analysis systems
- Implement and apply text classification, topic detection, etc. approaches into existing systems
- Create mathematical patterns and algorithms for Natural Language Processing (NLP) systems
Qualifications
- Academic or industrial background in the area of Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Understanding of model quantization approaches to provide efficiency in the application
- Understanding and use of Deep Learning concepts and technologies such as Transformers (BERT, ELECRTA), Attention Layer, LSTM, CNN
- Experience with some of the following concepts for the Turkish language: Named Entity Recognition (NER), Sentiment Analysis, Topic Classification
- Ability to create optimized Regular Expressions
- Continuous research and evaluation of emerging technologies, staying current on published state-of-the-art Machine Learning methods, technologies, and their applications
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python (preferred)
- Experience with Version Control Systems like git, svn etc.
- Ability to write clean code and culture of constantly preparing and keeping code documentation
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Bonus Qualification
- Experience in Unsupervised Text Clustering, k-nearest neighbors (kNN), K-means, etc.
- Experience in Text Pre-processing, Frequency Analysis, TF-IDF, Word Vectors, and Word Embeddings
- Experience in Fasttext, spaCy, NLTK, GloVe
- Experience in Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch
