QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job description
OSH Expert is in charge, firstly to ensure the safety and the protection of health of all ACACIA collaborators in the environment of their professional activities, secondly to perform OHS inspections on the both plant and mining areas for reporting on abnormal unsafe situations.
Responsibilities
The OHS Expert is responsible for:
· Ensures all HSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across ACACIA’s operations.
· Tracks company OHS metrics and use the data to identify and to reduce risk.
· Conducting staff training when necessary.
· Maintaining records and providing participants with feedback.
Duties

· By actively participating in the ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certification processes of the company, ensuring that the documentation requirements of the system are carried out smoothly.
· Maintain and apply knowledge of current health and safety policies, regulations, and industrial processes.
· Investigate incidents, determine root cause, and develop corrective actions.
· Track the number of incidents, near misses and hazard notifications.
· Follow or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or hazard reporting systems.
· Conduct or organize testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or thermal comfort to verify compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Support the HSE training courses as determined by the needs of the operation to address specific hazards, trends or the need for refresher training by operation employees.
· Development of HSE training courses, course outlines, and audio and/or video editing of HSE training courses.
Knowledge
· High knowledge of Turkish Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
· Fluent in English (B2 level)
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP knowledge is plus,
· Good knowledge of the standards:
o ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System standard
o ISO 45001:2018 OHS Management System standard

· Ability to coordinate with other departments in a professional, clear, and responsive manner.

· Ability to follow direction.
