QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Statkraft is a leading company in hydropower internationally and Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy. The Group produces hydropower, wind power, solar power, gas-fired power and supplies district heating. For our office in Istanbul, we are currently looking to hire team players for;
Trading & Origination
As part of the Norwegian state-owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Elektrik Toptan Satış Ltd. has become active in energy management for 3rd party renewable power producers and large-scale consumers in Turkey since 2015. For us, commitment and ambition from our colleagues make the difference.

Statkraft’s Trading&Origination team conclude mostly standard, but customer focused transactions in wholesale energy markets. The team cooperates closely with Statkraft’s head office and customer business units. The role, to be based in İstanbul includes but is not limited to
- identifying, structuring and negotiating profitable business opportunities
- concluding transactions in power markets and carbon certificates
- building lasting relationships with counterparties and customers
- engaging in day to day operations with an international team
- developing profitable new business lines along Statkraft’s strategic goals and local market structure
Your profile:
- Bachelors degree (preferably in Engineering, Business or Economy)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an energy company
- Strong analytical skills, commercial mindset and negotiation capabilities
- Strong fundamental understanding of the Turkish Energy Market
- Creative, curious and motivated team player
- Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging targets and schedules
- Good communication and reporting skills in English, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel)
- High level of personal and corporate integrity awareness

Your role:
- Perform 3rd party origination and commercial services
- Proactively follow internal/external customer needs for offering innovative solutions
- Seek, identify and capture commercial opportunities in the existing markets in a variety of energy commodities
- Work closely with different departments to coordinate operational processes
- Identify and solve problems and ensure work quality
