Xera Medical is hiring a Procurement Manager for the Manufacturing and R&D teams. As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for end to end sourcing efforts and strategic execution with a dedicated portfolio of suppliers. This role has responsibilities such as: leading RFP/RFQ and supplier selection/award process, conducting negotiations, confirming terms and conditions + maintaining long term agreements, placing purchase orders within the ERP system, and collaborating with cross functional teams to foster productivity within the supply base. You will ideate on ways to drive days to pay, cash, and deflation. This is an individual contributor role with autonomy that mixes both strategic and tactical buying responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Place and follow-up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Maintain accurate ERP data.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • High level of autonomy as part of an empowered teaming culture. Subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
  • Uses judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or institution
  • A minimum of 5 years in Sourcing, Materials & Planning, or relevant Supply Chain roles.

Desired Characteristics

  • Buying/commercial experience for both commercial and military products is preferred; experience in negotiations
  • Proven commercial and/or fulfillment experience with a range of suppliers, specifically in the raw material space.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Sourcing Compliance and the usage of Sourcing systems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
