QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Dunia Technique is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the oversight and review of all disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, HVAC works for the project which is located in Basra, Iraq.
He / she will administer all construction contracts ensuring full compliance, including all commercial elements relating to contract requirements. This will include the ownership of the project scope, timeline and budget and activities during the execution and project closeout phases.
Responsibilities
· Organizing own and others work to achieve set deadlines
· Ensuring the delivery and completeness of the project deliverables by assigned teams
· Participating in scheduled reviews to check project status.
· Collaborating / communicating with Senior Management, Clients, Contractors and others using skills of persuasion and negotiation to resolve critical issues
· Communicating with clarity, purpose and accuracy
· Routinely interacting with Clients and Contractors representatives and others using skills of persuasion and negotiation to resolve critical issues
· Leading / Participating in scheduled fortnightly project reviews of internal and external design disciplines to achieve a high-quality consistent set of presentation or design documents as per Client requirements and Industry standards
· Checking design and construction programs for accuracy and interdependency of predecessors on new activities
· Planning and monitoring others work to achieve set deadlines
· Understanding and implementing project management principles and able to work within project budgets which includes fees and designing to construction budget
· Leading / Participating in scheduled reviews to check project status and ensure the project is financially healthy, on time and deliverables are being achieved.
· Delegating effectively and efficiently where appropriate and follows up on delegated tasks up to completion
Qualifications
· Minimum 10+ years post undergraduate education
· Proven related professional experience in a Project or Construction Management Practice
· Ability to develop construction programs and review for their accuracy
· Flexibility of attitude towards company objectives
· Must be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be a self-starter
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Excellent command of English (written and spoken). knowledge of Arabic language is an added value.
· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and MS Project and other Management tools
· Manage schedule, scope, cost, quality, resources, and procurement
· Manage project budget
· Provide timely status reports to coordinator
