QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred,
- Minimum 3 years of Far East Sourcing experience, liaising with suppliers and manufacturers in the Far East,
- Ability to identify procurement opportunities using strong analytical skills,
- High level of attention to details and organizational ability,
- Have a good understanding on women consumer demands and a good feeling of “bestseller trends”,
- Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills,
- Good command of English,
- No obstacle to travel.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Planning, selecting and developing new products across several categories according to the department needs and within the required budget,
- Identifying and developing new supply sources in the Far East,
- Negotiating pricing and commercial terms with suppliers,
- Leading on new product development process and managing brand identity including the packaging and labelling,
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and sourcing new suppliers where necessary,
- Optimizing the category range, width and depth and reacting to the market to maximize sales,
- Monitoring product sales and performance and resolve any issues or potential problems,
- Maximizing margin and identifying best sellers,
- Managing outstanding orders and cash flow for deliveries,
- Working with the Marketing and Visual departments regarding promotions, social media, product placement in stores and photo shoots for advertising material and online images,
- Following trends and changes in customer demands.
