QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are hiring a “Purchasing Specialist” for our Purchasing team in our headquarters!

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications;

  • University degree in engineering from a reputable university,
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, must have experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts,
  • Knowledge of procurement ERP systems, JD Edwards preferred,
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, planning and organizational skills,
  • Technical knowledge and experience in reporting,
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications,
  • Fluent in English.


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Managing the daily indirect procurement activities and RFx process including Capex,
  • Ensuring that procurement is completed at a consistently high standard, within budget, and that objectives are met on time, suiting the company's vision and objectives,
  • Building efficient and effective relationships with vendors with the intent of a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship, with a focus on key vendors,
  • Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures,
  • Identifying cost saving potentials and implementations of such plans on assigned category with risk management,
  • Driving the development of supplier negotiation strategy and pricing negotiations with vendors,
  • Performing total cost of ownership (TCO) regarding procurement activities.
