QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are hiring a “Purchasing Specialist” for our Purchasing team in our headquarters!
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications;
- University degree in engineering from a reputable university,
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, must have experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts,
- Knowledge of procurement ERP systems, JD Edwards preferred,
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, planning and organizational skills,
- Technical knowledge and experience in reporting,
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications,
- Fluent in English.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Managing the daily indirect procurement activities and RFx process including Capex,
- Ensuring that procurement is completed at a consistently high standard, within budget, and that objectives are met on time, suiting the company's vision and objectives,
- Building efficient and effective relationships with vendors with the intent of a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship, with a focus on key vendors,
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures,
- Identifying cost saving potentials and implementations of such plans on assigned category with risk management,
- Driving the development of supplier negotiation strategy and pricing negotiations with vendors,
- Performing total cost of ownership (TCO) regarding procurement activities.
