QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

Reliability Engineer is expected to work with a multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of participants from systems engineers and design engineers.

Main scope of interest for the position is to ensure achievement of system Reliability objectives of military turbofan engine.

In addition, the Reliability Engineer is expected to provide relevant data to other specialty engineering teams (i.e. Maintainability, Supportability, Testability, ILS and Safety Engineering) as part of the development of engine / system maintainability, availability, supportability and testability strategy by contributing to the derivation of Reliability requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing Reliability Program Plan in accordance with certification basis instructions and international standards,
  • Ensuring that the related Reliability requirements are covered and met by coordinating with the relevant function groups,
  • Conducting and monitoring Reliability analyses (i.e. FMECA, Life-Data) and implementation processes (i.e. Reliability modeling, allocation, prediction),
  • Coordination of analysis inputs and outputs with other specialty engineering functions (i.e. Maintainability, Supportability, Testability, Safety),
  • Monitoring design IPT activities and providing input on Reliability issues,
  • Participating in “DMU Review” meetings and monitoring the progress of the design within the scope of Reliability,
  • Preparing engineering documents, manuals, procedures etc. in scope of the work definition,
  • Contributing to development of the tools, processes and procedures required for the job.


Qualifications:

  • Graduated from mechanical engineering, aerospace/aircraft engineering or related departments of the engineering faculties (having an MS or PhD degree is a plus),
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English,
  • Preferably having 2+ years of experience in aviation, defense or automotive industries,
  • Experience in Reliability processes, preferably in aviation, aviation gas turbine engines or power plant systems for ground vehicles,
  • Having knowledge in systems engineering approaches and methods is a plus,
  • Proficiency or knowledge in at least one of the Reliability tools (Windchill, Reliasoft and MADe are preferable),
  • Preferably, experience in planning, conducting and coordinating Reliability requirements,
  • Knowledge on military and civil standards that is being used in the aviation industry (i.e. MIL-STD-785B, MIL-STD-338B, MIL-STD-1629A, MIL-STD-217F),
  • Basic understanding of military certification process is a plus (EASA CS-E and DEF STAN 00-970 PART 11 are preferable),
  • Proficiency or knowledge in at least one of PLM tools (Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systemes 3D Experience, etc.),
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project),
  • Interpersonal skills required to work with team members, customers and other stakeholders such as aircraft manufacturer and/or subcontractors.
