QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job responsibilities
- Ensure Weir Group’s Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Charter is fully respected on the shop floor according to internal protocols and procedures.
- Lead SHE & Lean initiatives in the direction of the business Goals and KPIs.
- Support and communicate with managers, supervisors and operators on all SHE practices and ensure effective management systems and full legislative compliance is maintained. Necessary improvements are executed.
- Develop and share good practice throughout the business and conduct audits and inspections as required.
- Support operational managers in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses where necessary.
- Lead the risk assessment and SOP preparation together with the line managers and supervisors for all work areas in WM Turkey.
- Proactively engage with shop floor operators to develop robust SHE practices.
- Ensure compliance to the Company SHE Policy for the prevention of injury, damage or loss to Company personnel and resources and ensure that shop floor operators are fully aware of their accountability for the environment, health and safety.
- Develop & conduct health and safety training & orientation programs for employees/ contractors/ trainees and ensure H&S communication is properly implemented.
- Responsible for managing H&S CAPAs (corrective and preventive actions), closely following up and coordinating relevant departments to deliver CAPA according to expectation. Monitor and analyze input for effective H&S programs via periodical local and global reports, focusing on leading indicators.
- Act as a focal point for all employees to allow for a smooth two-way communication process with regards to SHE information
- Attend and provide relevant training as required to fulfill the function of a safety representative.
- Where appropriate participate in relevant workplace inspections and incident investigations.
- Support company SHE & Lean Policy to help deliver cultural development and sustained continual improvement in SHE performance.
Qualifications
- University Degree in Engineering (preferably in Environmental Engineering) preferably in an engineering, manufacturing or field service environment.
- Satisfactorily completed a nationally recognized training course in H&S
- Minimum 3 Years of experience in the SHE area.
- Proven knowledge of management systems ISO 14001 & 45001
- Written/verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of local SHE legislations
- Result-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated capability to successfully partner with peers.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Working place location is Dilovasi OSB.
- Fluent in Turkish and English is mandatory
