We are currently looking for a strong profile with the right attitude to join our Sales & Marketing Team as Sales Manager (Surgical Ophthalmology) reporting to Head of Pharma Sales & Marketing.


Purpose of the Position: This is a multifunctional position which encompasses execution, coordination and supervision of marketing, sales activities for Surgical and field promotion activities for Pharma divisions. One specific and highly important task for the position is the establishment of future Surgical Division, in this regard it requires the experience and competencies for all aspects of initiation of a function in a company.


Major Responsibilities

Surgical Ophthalmology

Establish the future Surgical Ophthalmology Division: Lay the foundation and Initiate the functions and processes and build the structure.


Develop a maintenance and growth strategy for the Surgical Ophthalmology function. Deliver sales growth of the Surgical portfolio by establishing partnerships with customers.


Pharma

Manage and lead the Pharma Sales Force team. Ensure the distribution of objectives and the follow-up of business results in line with the principles of management by objectives.


Train Pharma Sales Force team to ensure effective implementation of seasonal strategies.


Organize the implementation of planned marketing activities at the highest standards, ensure the effective use of new promotional instruments (digital marketing), direct the investments in the most efficient way, prepare regional budgets and monitor results.

Common Responsibilities

Support and communicate sales and marketing strategies to ensure the short, medium and long-term success of the strategic focus.


Develop and execute action plans to address the identified opportunities.


Monitor and communicate insights and suggestions regarding competition activity to Managers to reflect market dynamics. Plan and implement competitive marketing and sales actions.


Develop excellent product knowledge and an awareness of market conditions.


Maintain close relations with senior physicians, pharmacists, public and private sector officials and professional groups.


Represent the organization at local, regional and national symposia and congresses.


Behave ethically, comply with regulatory requirements, industry and company policies, code of conduct and adhere to Sifi values and behaviors.


Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree preferably in Medicine or Pharmaceutical sciences or Business Administration


Minimum 10 years of Sales and Marketing experience in field of Surgical Ophthalmology and Pharma


At least 5 years of team building and management experience


Medical Proficiency in Ophthalmology, in-depth understanding of Surgical Ophthalmology market including key dynamics, competitors, country regulatory and policy


Experience in building relationships with KOL’s and key accounts


Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


Budget Management


Excellent communication skills in English


Commercial and strategic mindset


Outstanding skills and experience in leadership, communication, presentation and negotiation


Passion for applying innovative approaches, out of box thinking


Strategic vision to drive new business models


Strong analytical thinking and perspective


Ability to handle difficult situations and deal effectively and harmoniously with various people, internally and externally, at all levels
