QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Strategic Buyer to join a Purchasing Team of the multinational company who is providing high-quality products and services to its extensive customer portfolio, has tailor-made solutions in construction and industry areas, based in İstanbul.
The ideal candidate will be reporting to Head of Purchasing and ideally is/has;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical)/ Business Administration or relevant fields,
- Min 5 years of experience in Strategic Purchasing/ Commodity Management,
- Significant knowledge of Advance Negotiation& Tender Management, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Claim Management,
- Deep knowledge of National and International Transports, Logistics etc.
- Preferably experienced and willing to be part of Process Improvement Projects such as Lean Management / Six sigma / Kaizen / 5S etc.,
- Advanced level of English (verbal and written) & MS Office Programs,
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization,
- Proactive, result-oriented and analytical mindset with strong project management and follow-up skills,
- No restriction for travelling.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Define and implement negotiation concepts and strategies to maximize savings for the assigned materials and services;
- Analyze demand, market and suppliers to define optimum sourcing strategy to ensure long-term, cost-effective supply of materials & services,
-Negotiate all conditions such as price, payment, delivery and all other terms to achieve best conditions in order to contribute to the profitability of the company,
- Select Supplier in consideration of the Total Cost of Ownership with consultation of the related technical departments,
- Qualify and evaluate supplier to identify the best suppliers.
- Participate in improvement projects to support cost reduction activities,
- Act in accordance with company business ethics and compliancy guidelines,
- Cooperate with sales, engineering, quality and planning departments,
- Responsibility of SEEMA requirements for the assigned material & services.
