Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri A.Ş. (CBI) is owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. which is an established and rapidly growing mining and metals company .CBI is an underground mine and produces copper and zinc in Madenli, Çayeli in the Province of Rize on the eastern Black Sea coast. Position Overview
Reporting to the Metallurgy Superintendent, the Senior Process Engineer will provide technical support to the Copper-Zinc Concentrator processing activities to deliver the business strategy. This will be a full-time permanent role.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support to processing plant operations.
- Assists in capital projects preparation and commissioning.
- Provides new ideas, insights and direction for new processing alternatives to improve product recovery and quality.
- Drives process improvements to deliver production targets.
- Responsible for proactive inspections on critical mineral processing equipment.
- Provides leadership and guidance to improve a culture of HSE and personal development.
- Optimizes the performance of all processing sections, reduces inefficiencies and operating costs.
- Mentor process engineers to help develop their expertise in process evaluation & diagnosis and problem solving areas.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a processing plant and to lead by example.
- University degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Processing Engineering (a degree in English is preferred) (A Masters’ or Doctorate degree is preferred).
- Minimum three years of experience in operating processing plants.
- Experienced in the flotation and surface chemistry of sulfide minerals.
- Preferably experienced in mass balancing, data reconciliation and metal accounting.
- Can proficiently design, conduct and analyze plant trials.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Expert knowledge of MS Office programs.
- Willing to reside in Çayeli or Rize.
- No military service obligations for male candidates.
