QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Purchasing Specialist Engineer to be assigned to our factory serving in the automotive industry.
- Education Qualification: Engineering + MBA(Optional)
- Languange : English will be added advantage
- Must have more than 7 to 10 years of experience in sourcing domain in manufacturing/ engineering industry. Core development experience in Automotive/Tractor parts.
- Must have basic knowledge of metallurgy with respect to materials used in development of the components of respective commodities.
- Must have thorough understanding QMS Processes, jigs and fixtures, supplier management, quality tools.
- Must have a basic understanding of commercials and price negotiation of parts.
- Must be through with understanding of Capital expenditure, demand and supply forecasting tools, budgeting, basics of IRR Calculation, pricing and costing.
- Must have a good understanding of supplier base of all commodity, existing external factors that affect business and upcoming changes in the commodity.
- Knowledge of major products and services and ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Commodity knowledge and technical ability in leading Purchasing team.
- Project management capability – General awareness and ability to Lead purchasing projects.
- Contractual framework & legal understanding in dealing with suppliers ( Import and Export).
- Work out the CAPEX budgeting to estimate approximate development cost of the parts based on content and past experience.
- Make strategy for achieving CRE targets for the commodity and review the achievement from time to time.
- Forecast the estimated part requirement at for major projects of the commodity and strategize on how to meet the demand.
- Work in close collaboration with Quality to set up/ verify processes at supplier end and conduct checks and audits for the same.
- Identify critical suppliers and critical parts where intervention from DE is needed and assign DE for critical tasks.
- Handle quality related issues and give direction for course corrections.
