QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role...
- Responsible for initiation, tracking, and closure of all supplier-related issues affecting Stackpole production and OEM customer.
- Monitor supplier quality and overall performance by evaluating supplier rating results, all kinds of nonconforming supplier reports (such as 8D), and quality-related key performance indicators (KPI's), corrective/preventive action responses, and root-cause investigations to develop effective, actionable information.
- Focus is on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, data collection, problem-solving activities, and utilization of the Stackpole CAR system to close and prevent supplier non-conformances. Evaluate rejected material received from suppliers as necessary. Addresses and facilitates the resolution of supplier issues and drives formal corrective action. As may be required, the tracking and root cause analysis of designated suppliers' product/process non-conformances.
- Provides supplier's quality assurance guidance/leadership to define problems/issues, root-cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action plans related to supplier improvement initiatives/activities using statistical techniques & Six-Sigma/Lean methods (as applicable).
- Co-ordinate containment actions, as required, between Stackpole and supplier.
- Assist in resolving supplier-related issues through on-site process inspections, conducting material investigations, and verifying the overall effectiveness of supplier corrective/preventive initiatives/actions.
Your Profile…
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Preferably, experience in the automotive sector
- Technical background with previous quality engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Profound knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality core tools
- Solid experience working and collaborating with suppliers across cultures
- The proficiency level of written and spoken English
