Job Description
To assess and control the supplier base to TCI Cabin Interior, in accordance with business, contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the selection, development, verification, validation and qualification of current and new suppliers.
- Evaluate the supply base using Supplier Quality Assessment techniques – audit, questionnaire, metrics, etc.
- Ensure that Regulatory, Customer and Business requirements are flowed to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Oversee and participate in the development and initiation of inspection, testing and evaluation techniques for incoming goods.
- Work with Production, Quality Assurance, Materials and other departments to define quality standards and procedures.
- Analyze supplier performance both in-house and on supplier premises as required.
- Supporting internal audit requirements in accordance with TCI procedures.
- Achieving objectives as detailed by Quality Management.
- Ensure supplier adherence to Work Instructions, Process Control Plans, Engineering Drawings and Specifications.
- Supporting and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Controlling nonconforming material in accordance with TCI procedures.
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of PPAP, 8D and APQP as it relates to supplier issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs (internal & external).
- Participates in PPAP Key Quality Element development, i.e Process Flows, FMEAs, FAIs, Control Plans, Capability Assessments, Production Monitoring and ZDP deployment at suppliers.
- Acts as a liaison between Supply Chain, Supplier Quality and Quality Engineering departments to drive daily actions with supplier and provide daily report out to the cross functional departments.
- Expedite and confirm delivery of all open purchase orders to ensure timely arrival of materials to support production schedules.
Qualifications
- Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, with a sound working knowledge of aerospace regulatory and quality requirements EASA/SHGM Part 21 and AS/EN9100. Would be ideal not essential.
- Practical experience of auditing Suppliers within the Machining, Extrusion, Sheet Metal engineering industry.
- Proven ability to supervise corrective actions and improvement activities with Suppliers.
- Sound practical experience with Excel and Word. Ability to learn the use of new business software.
- Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) and to organise and work closely with others.
- Knowledge of (PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Gage R&R, SPC Analysis, Cpk, etc or equivalent) is required.
- Experience with Special processes suppliers (Welding, Anodizing).
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools.
- Willingness to travel to supplier sites.
- Strong prioritization skills.
- Team building Skills.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports.
- Bachelors Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical/Material Engineering.
- Advanced command of written and spoken English.
